fifth  Grade

Ms. Thompson,
MS. Helton, Ms. Raskay & Mr. Logan

Thank you for sharing your students with us! We hope that they will come away from 5th grade remembering making mistakes, and more importantly, remembering what they learned from those mistakes. We want them to grow as individuals and for them to feel good knowing that they persevered through hard things.

Parents always ask their students, "How was your day?" or "What did you learn today?" Kids often don't have an answer for that.

How about asking  some of these questions instead?

Ms. Raskay

I have always had a special love for numbers and problem-solving. Math has been my favorite subject ever since my school days, and my journey through education has taken me to various places.

I kicked off my academic adventure at Allendale Elementary and Fitzmorris Elementary, where I first fell in love with the magic of mathematics. The journey continued at Oberon Junior High, and then I made a big move to Texas for high school and college, deepening my understanding of the world of numbers and equations.

Fast forward to today, and I've been on a thrilling ride of teaching for 26 years! I started my teaching career in Denver, then ventured to California, followed by Texas, and eventually landed in the wonderful Jeffco community. It's been an incredible journey, and every place I've been has added a unique flavor to my passion for math.

The best part of my job? It's undeniably the students. Teaching has been more than just a profession for me; it's been a journey of connecting with young minds, sharing the excitement of mathematical discoveries, and helping each student find their own love for the subject.

When I'm not busy with numbers and equations, you might catch me exploring new places, trying out different cuisines, or simply enjoying a good book. I'm always eager to learn and share that enthusiasm with my students. Let's make math an adventure together!
