Hackberry Hill Hosts Free Clothing Swap & Shop

Hackberry Hill Clothing Swap & ShopHackberry Hill Elementary had their first ever free Clothing Swap & Shop. In this day of fundraisers and expenses going through the roof, one of our parents wanted to come up with a way to recycle items back into our community. They asked their generous school families to clean drawers and closets and bring any clothing, shoes, backpacks, lunch boxes, etc. that they’d like to donate. Then, Tracy Graves, who came up with this great idea, took all these items home every day for the whole month and sorted everything by size and gender. On Friday, October 26, with the help of several parents, they set up a yard sale style shopping experience where anyone could come and shop for free! Truckloads of great items were recycled back into our community at no cost to our families. Leftovers went to the adult clothing drive at Arvada High School and other community nonprofit organizations. They're hoping this becomes a tradition at Hackberry Hill.
