Late Start Alternative to Snow Days
Jeffco has implemented a 2-hour late start for extreme circumstances of inclement weather.
When a late start is determined, the notification will go out by 5:30 am via school messenger from Jefferson County Schools. This is why it is so important that you keep your information current in JeffcoConnect!
Please note the following bullet points for a late start at Little Elementary:
· Due to no supervision, students cannot arrive earlier then 10:15 a.m.
· The school day will begin with soft start at 10:15 am and school starting at 10:35 am. Students will not be marked tardy on late start days.
· Day Care will also be on a two hour delay in the morning.
· The school day will end at the normal time.
· Buses run 2 hours later than normal in the morning only.
· Absences will be excused if school is notified by family. (Missed work will be provided and accepted under the same policy as applies to regular absences.)
