My journey in education began at Colorado State University, where I pursued both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. During my time there, I discovered my love for writing and its power to inspire, communicate, and connect.

For the past decade, I've had the privilege of working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them develop their writing skills and achieve academic success. Whether through tutoring, teaching, or mentoring, I've been fortunate to play a role in their educational journey.

Writing has always been my favorite subject. There's something magical about the written word and the ability to express oneself through language. Whether it's crafting stories, essays, or poetry, I believe that writing empowers students to find their voice and share their unique perspectives with the world.

The best part of my job is building relationships with students. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of their journey and to witness their growth and development firsthand. From the first tentative steps in writing to the moments of breakthrough and mastery, I find joy in watching students learn new skills, gain confidence, and discover their potential.

When I was a little girl in San Diego, my favorite thing to do was go to the zoo, and my favorite subject in school was Math.

I have a bachelor's degree in Child Psychology, and a master's in Social Work. I’ve worked as a Developmental Therapist, and am now Little’s school Social Worker.

You can find me either in my office, or out and about, working with our SEL team.

The best part about my job is doing my part to make kids feel safe and heard.

My goal is for each child I work with to remember that someone really listened to them.

I’m the Restorative Practices Liaison. You can find me all around the building, but my office is officially called ‘the Den’.

The best part about my job is building connections with our students. I went to elementary school in Jeffco at Ute Meadows.

When I was little, my favorite subject in school was English, and I loved to play soccer. I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

I want kids to know and remember that they are heard, seen, and important.

Counselor

Growing up, I had the unique experience of attending 9 different schools, which instilled in me a sense of adaptability and resilience. Despite the changes, I found solace in my favorite subjects: psychology and math. These disciplines provided me with a framework for understanding both human behavior and the world around me.

I pursued my education at the University of Northern Colorado, where I graduated not once, but twice! This journey allowed me to deepen my knowledge and expertise in areas that I am truly passionate about.

For six years, I served as a residential counselor, working closely with individuals in need of support and guidance. This experience honed my interpersonal skills and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact in people's lives.

This year marks my transition to the school environment, and I couldn't be more excited! I'm eager to bring my unique perspective and skill set to this new role and contribute to the growth and success of both staff and students alike.

Psychology and math have always been my favorite subjects. Psychology offers insights into the complexities of the human mind and behavior, while math provides a structured approach to problem-solving and logical reasoning. Together, they have shaped my understanding of the world and fueled my passion for learning.

The best part of my job is undoubtedly the opportunity to get to know the staff and students. Building connections and fostering relationships is at the heart of what I do. I believe that by understanding and empowering those around me, I can create a supportive and enriching environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

JCMH

My journey in education has been shaped by my love for science and my dedication to social work. I pursued my undergraduate studies with a focus on science, drawn to the wonders of the natural world and the principles that govern it. Building on this foundation, I furthered my education by earning a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University, where I honed my skills in counseling and community engagement.

In the past, I served as a community health case manager in Nashville, Tennessee, where I had the privilege of supporting individuals and families in navigating the complexities of healthcare and social services. I spent 2 years as a therapist at Secrest Elementary, where I provided counseling and support to students facing various challenges. This role allowed me to combine my background in social work with my passion for education, helping students overcome obstacles and thrive in the classroom. I am currently in my 3rd year at Little, where I continue to serve as a dedicated advocate for student success and well-being. Science has always been my favorite subject. I'm fascinated by the endless possibilities for discovery and exploration that science offers. Whether it's unraveling the mysteries of the universe, exploring the intricacies of the human body, or delving into environmental science, I find endless inspiration in the pursuit of scientific knowledge. The best part of my job is making connections and empowering students. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of helping a student realize their potential, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. Whether it's through counseling, advocacy, or simply lending a listening ear, I am committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every student feels valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
